Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of the Brokers Connect platform, and they apply to the website and to the mobile app. By using the platform you agree to them; if you do not agree, do not use it.

Who we are

Brokers Connect is a job platform for the real estate sector in Egypt, operated by Top Suite Digital Marketing, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Contact: info@topsuite.net — phone +971507071591.

What the service is

Brokers Connect is an intermediary: real estate companies post their job listings, job seekers read them and apply, and companies search the consultant directory for people who suit them. We are not the employer, not a party to any employment relationship between a company and an applicant, and not an agent of either.

We do not guarantee that you will find a job, that a company will find a candidate, or that everything anyone writes about themselves is true. But we review every listing before it is published, and we verify the companies that ask us to: the "Verified" mark means our team reviewed the company's details and confirmed them.

Who may use it

  • You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a contract. We do not accept accounts from anyone younger, and we delete any account we learn belongs to someone under 18.
  • An account is personal, and each person has one. You are responsible for what happens through your account and for keeping its password secret, and you must tell us at once if you suspect someone else has got into it.
  • An account is created as one kind — real estate consultant or company — and that does not change afterwards.
  • Our team reviews a company account before it can post listings or browse the consultant directory.

How you agree to these terms

You agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy, and confirm that you are 18 or older, by ticking the box provided when you complete your account, however you signed up. We keep a record of the version of the terms and the policy you agreed to, and when.

No fees for job seekers

Applying for jobs and appearing in the consultant directory are free, and will stay free. We never ask a job seeker for money.

A company is strictly forbidden to ask an applicant for money to be hired, interviewed, trained or to get paperwork done. A listing that does so is removed, and the account that posted it is suspended. If you are asked for money, do not pay, and report it to us.

What companies undertake

When posting a listing, the company confirms that:

  • The job is real and open when it is posted, and the number of openings stated is true.
  • The basic salary, the commission scheme and the source of leads are stated accurately whenever they are stated. This is the information the platform exists to make clear, and misrepresenting it is reason enough to remove the listing.
  • The details and verification documents it provides are true, and it has the right to provide them.

Applicants' and consultants' data: what a company receives — applications, CVs, and contact details from the consultant directory — is to be used only for hiring at that company: to assess an applicant for the job they applied for, or to contact a consultant about a genuine job opportunity. It must not be sold or shared with others, used for marketing, or moved into a database for any other purpose, and anything taken off the platform must be deleted once it is no longer needed for the hiring decision. The company alone is legally responsible for personal data it takes off the platform, and for compensating us for any loss or claim arising from its breach of these terms or of the law in its listings or in its handling of this data.

The consultant directory

For consultants: you choose how visible your profile is in the directory — hidden, verified companies only, or all companies — and you can change it at any time. The directory is open to approved companies only, not to the public or to search engines. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile.

For companies: a consultant's contact details appear only when the company asks for them, within a daily limit; we record every request, and the consultant can see which companies asked. A company must contact a consultant only about genuine job opportunities, and must stop if the consultant asks it to. A company's saved shortlist is private to it: no other company sees it, and the consultant is not told.

Review, reports and appeals

  • Review: our team reviews every listing before it is published. We may reject or remove a listing, suspend an account or a company, or restrict a profile's visibility in the directory, if it breaks these terms or the law, is misleading or duplicated, or is the subject of serious reports. We tell the person concerned the reason for the decision.
  • Reports: any user can report a listing, a company or a consultant profile, and our team reviews every report. Misusing reports — to harm a competitor, for example — breaks these terms.
  • Appeals: if your listing was rejected or removed, your account or company suspended, or your profile restricted, you can ask for the decision to be reviewed from your account. Our team reviews the appeal and sends you the decision and the reason for it.

What is not allowed

No user may:

  • post false information about themselves or their company, impersonate someone else, or represent a company without authority;
  • post listings that are not for real jobs, or disguised advertising;
  • harass, threaten or abuse any user, contact them for anything other than hiring, or send them sexual or degrading content;
  • discriminate, in a listing or in dealing with applicants, on any ground unrelated to the requirements of the job;
  • collect users' data automatically, copy the platform's content in bulk, or try to get around the directory's visibility settings or daily limits;
  • create a new account to get around a suspension or a restriction;
  • try to break into or disrupt the platform, or reach data they are not authorised to see.

What you upload

What you upload — text, logos, photos and CVs — stays yours or your company's. By uploading it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store and process it as far as running the service requires; the licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for what must be kept as the Privacy policy describes. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

The platform's rights

The software, the design, the name, the logo and all of the platform's content — other than what users upload — belong to the operator or its licensors, and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without written permission. The platform uses open-source software under the licences listed on the licences page.

Fees

Posting listings is free at the moment, and nothing is sold on the platform. If we start charging companies in the future, we will announce it in advance, and set out the prices and refund terms before anything can be bought; nothing will be charged without your explicit choice. The details are in the Refund policy.

Deleting your account, and ending use

You can delete your account at any time from its settings, on the website or in the app, with two exceptions:

  • A company's owner does not delete their account themselves, because that would delete the company, its listings and the applications other people sent to it. They ask for it from the same screen; we contact them within 7 days to agree what happens to the company, and their account is deleted within 30 days.
  • A suspended account cannot be deleted from the settings while the suspension stands. Its owner can appeal the decision, or write to us and we will close the account once the review is over.

The details, and what is deleted and what is kept, are on the account deletion page. We may suspend or close any account that breaks these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue — such as the limits of liability and the governing law — survive the end of use.

Limits of liability

The platform is provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to keep it available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or without errors.

We are not responsible for what arises from the relationship between a company and an applicant or consultant, for hiring decisions, for the accuracy of what users write, or for indirect losses. Nothing here excludes our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

General

  • These terms, with the Privacy policy, the Cookie policy and the Refund policy, are the whole agreement between us about using the platform.
  • If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain in force.
  • Not enforcing a right at one time does not mean we have given it up.
  • The Arabic text of these terms is the authoritative one, and this English text is a translation. Where they differ, the Arabic text prevails.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page. For any material change we will show you a notice in your account on the website and in the app, and ask you to agree to the new version. If you do not agree, you can stop using the platform and delete your account.
